Diarrhoea with loose, sour-smelling stools, especially in children. it is often indicated when the diarrhoea is accompanied by irritability, vomiting, and a strong acidic odour to the stools. in addition, rheum is used for eye conditions, particularly watery, itchy, and red eyes, often associated with cold, damp weather or hay fever symptoms. it can also be helpful in cases of mucous membrane irritation, where there is excess secretion of mucus.
